Trick Dog Training

Dog Trick Training

Our founder wrote the first comprehensive trick training book with co-author, Carol Benjamin in 1977. DOG TRICKS is still a perennial best seller.

Our first trick class was taught in North Palm Beach, Florida in 1997. We have always combined our classes with the information you need to get your pet into show business based upon Captaon Haggerty’s book, How to Get Your Pet Into Show Business.

Our basic courses are taught in two separate formats: a workshop and a seven week course. Both prepare you for more advanced and useful tricks such as sorting the laundry and finding your keys and cell phone.

Our six week training class is designed to make your dog useful, fun and entertaining while developing your relationship with your once in a lifetime dog.

Three hour trick training workshop will get your dog started on at least six tricks. We will even work on tricks that your dog already knows. At the conclusion of the workshop your dog’s photo will be taken and sent to Dawn Wolfe’s Animal Actor Agency for possible theatrical work. Taught by Babette Haggerty, IACP CDT. Babette trained Jack Nicklaus’ Golden Retriever to bark the number of his Major Tournament wins on command, Curt Gowdy’s Rottweiler to say, “Go Reds” and Jimmy Buffet’s Maltese to dance on cue to “Margaritaville”. Basic obedience recommended.

Our six week training class is designed to make your dog useful, fun and entertaining while developing your relationship with your once in a lifetime dog.

The six week course includes: get up on a pedestal, paws up, spin, search for an object, play dead, take a bow, say your prayers, shake your paw, jump through a hoop, shell game, figure 8, jump through my arms, jump over me, wave, soccer, crawl, balance and catch, basketball, sit pretty, fetch, roll over, pull something open.

Our trick training students have appeared opposite Colin Farrel, Christopher Walken, Tina Fey, Robert DeNiro and in commercials for Chase Bank, Master Card, Bounty Paper Towels and so much more!
