Since 1961 Captain Haggerty's School for Dogs has been training happy dogs in New York and New Jersey.
The Captain's daughter, Babette Haggerty-Brennan, offers instruction privately in your home in either Manhattan or Bergen County, New Jersey.
Behavioral assessments, canine psychological counseling, obedience training and behavior modification is offered privately in Manhattan and Bergen County. Lessons are only available outside of Manhattan and Bergen County to those who have had a dog in the past trained by Captain Haggerty's School for Dogs.

Cancellation Policy: At the time of booking a Master Card or Visa is necessary to secure your reservation. If you need to cancel, it must be at least 48 hours in advance; otherwise you will be charged $250 for the missed lesson.
It is often said that home is where the heart is. Captain Haggerty was born in the Bronx which is where our school was founded. Babette was born and raised in New Jersey, despite a short three year stay while in diapers in Washington Heights, NYC. In her twenties, she decided to sow her oats in warmer climes she relocated to Florida where she started the Palm Beach school. With the burning desire to one day go home, she lives in Manhattan and now offers private in-home lessons throughout the five boroughs and in Bergen, Sussex, Essex, Somerset and Morris counties.
Famed dog writer, Carol Benjamin, once said, "the best behaved dogs in the world are in New York City", Babette looks forward to making yours one of them.
