Trainers – Erika Friedman
Erika has been an animal lover since she was a little girl growing up on East 72nd Street in NYC. She has spent countless hours volunteering her time & love to numerous animal causes & shelters.
Erika has a full time job at a Private Equity firm in NYC but has dedicated most of her free time to her passion for animals. Erika's goal is to teach people how to better communicate with their pets so that we can all live in harmony through knowledge, love & patience. She has apprenticed with Babette Haggerty's Dog Training for over a year and is now Babette's assistant trainer while finishing her final certifications needed to becoming a full time trainer with us.
Erika has also bridged her training into event planning for us. Canine Celebration was born from her love of animals and those who share her passion. While working as a trainer with Babette Haggerty's Dog Training she realized that if we can get a bunch of people who love animals, share food, drinks & great raffle prizes we will have a room full of people who are striving for the same things we are. Erika plans events in the hopes that we can introduce other individuals to each other whether it be on a social level or a business level. We feel that it is all about getting the word out about how important the trainers are, how valuable the Vets are, how precious the clothing lines, how important caring & safe day cares are all the way to the specialty items-These all enrich and play an extremely important role in the lives of our dogs and in our peace of mind. We want to join a team together with out competition but knowing that we are in this business ultimately & hopefully because of our love of animals and their protection & care. Our last event had 150 people and 60 plus dogs! We had amazing raffle gifts which were all donated. There was no money involved. We wanted the people who attended to join for their love of dogs.
